St. Barnabas School is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC) is one of six regional accrediting associations in the United States. The Accrediting Commission for Schools, WASC, extends its services to over 4,500 public, independent, church-related, and proprietary pre-K–12 schools.
All of the teachers at St. Barnabas are credentialed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. In addition to our ‘homeroom’ teachers we also have dedicated Science, Math and Physical Education teachers on staff.
Students from St. Barnabas go on to many different local high school programs including Long Beach Poly’s PACE and CIC programs, CAMS, Loyola, Mater Dei, Saint Joseph, St. John Bosco and St. Anthony’s. From there our students have a strong track record of achievement, with former students attending many prominent colleges including UC Berkeley, Stanford, Harvard, University of Colorado, Emory, UCLA, Boston University, Loyola Marymount, University of San Diego and many others.
